COLOMBO: Sri Lankan shares closed higher for a third straight session on Friday, led by energy and consumer discretionary stocks.
The CSE All Share index settled up 0.50% at 22,068.84.
The index closed 0.36% lower for the week, falling for two straight weeks.
SMB Finance and Nuwara Eliya Hotels Co were the top percentage gainers on the CSE All Share index, rising 33.3% and 11.1%, respectively.
Trading volume on the CSE All Share index fell to 91.4 million shares from 147.2 million in the previous session.
The equity market’s turnover fell to 2.71 billion Sri Lankan rupees ($8.75 million) from 4.10 billion rupees in the previous session, according to exchange data.
