Who won at PSX’s Top 25 Companies Awards?

KARACHI: Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has announced the recipients of the prestigious Top 25 Companies Awards for the calendar year 2024, recognizing outstanding performance in the corporate sector. Initiated in 1978, these awards are considered among the most coveted accolades in Pakistan’s corporate landscape, honoring companies that demonstrate excellence across financial performance, governance, operational efficiency, and sustainability initiatives.

The PSX Top 25 Companies Awards evaluate listed companies based on a combination of quantitative and qualitative criteria. Quantitative measures include profitability ratios, dividend performance, and turnover of shares, while qualitative assessments focus on corporate social responsibility (CSR), reporting on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives, as well as diversity and inclusivity practices. Selection also requires companies to meet key prerequisites ensuring compliance and safeguarding the interests of minority shareholders.

Commenting on the announcement, PSX MD & CEO Farrukh H. Sabzwari expressed pride in congratulating the winners of the PSX Top 25 Companies Awards 2024. He noted that the awards reaffirm that Pakistan’s economy hosts companies that excel not only domestically but also compete on the international stage.

He added that this year’s winners, along with the broader corporate sector, deserved special recognition for delivering exceptional performance in 2024 despite a challenging business environment. According to Sabzwari, their achievements send a strong message of confidence to investors both at home and abroad and reflect the determination, innovation, and leadership driving Pakistan’s growth story.
