Pakistan, UAE conclude joint counterterrorism exercise ‘Jalmood-I’ in Tarbela

Pakistan Army and the UAE Presidential Guards have successfully concluded a two-week joint counterterrorism exercise titled Jalmood-I at Tarbela, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday.

The exercise, which focused on hostage rescue and counterterrorism operations, involved participation from the Pakistan Army’s Special Services Group (SSG) and the UAE Presidential Guards.

According to ISPR, the Jalmood-I exercise was designed to enhance interoperability, coordination, and joint operational skills between the two forces in complex counterterrorism environments.

The closing ceremony was attended by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of SSG, who served as the chief guest, along with senior UAE military officials and diplomats.

ISPR said the exercise reflected the deepening defence collaboration between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates, reaffirming their shared commitment to regional security and counterterrorism efforts.
