CJCSC General Sahir Shamshad conferred ‘King Abdulaziz Medal of Honour’
- Saudi military leadership acknowledges Pakistan's sacrifices in fight against terrorism
Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza was conferred with the prestigious ‘King Abdulaziz Medal of Honour of the Excellent Class’ during his ongoing official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), the military’s media wing said on Sunday.
The honour was bestowed upon the CJCSC in recognition of his significant contributions to deepening the strong relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, particularly in strengthening military-to-military ties, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

Earlier, General Mirza called on Chief of General Staff of Saudi Armed Forces General Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili. During the meeting, the two military leaders engaged in discussions covering the evolving global and regional environment and explored avenues for enhancing bilateral defence cooperation.
Both sides reaffirmed their resolve to further deepen the strong brotherly ties and enduring defence partnership that exists between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, the ISPR said.
The Saudi military leadership also lauded the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged the sacrifices made by Pakistan in the fight against terrorism.
