Chairing a high level meeting here at NAB Headquarters to review overall progress of the Bureau since he took over the responsibilities of chairman on Oct 11, 2017, he said as per law, all public sector departments were duty bound to submit the copies of contracts of Rs 50 million or above to NAB, including details of procurements and tendering process so that NAB may review and securitize the transparency in the execution of the projects under its prevention regime as per NAO, 1999, said a press release.

The chairman expressed his satisfaction over the performance of NAB and directed operations and prosecution divisions to make all-out efforts to conclude all ongoing complaint verifications, inquiries and investigations within the prescribed time frame after collecting concrete and solid evidence as per law.

He said the policy of “Accountability for All” was being followed in letter and spirit across the board and now accountability was seen to be done. The corrupt were being dealt with iron hands as eradication of corruption from the country was the top priority of NAB, he added.

He directed NAB officers to perform their duties in accordance with law without caring about the position and status of the accused.
