Three FC personnel martyred in Hangu attack, five terrorists killed in Upper Dir

At least three Federal Constabulary (FC) personnel were martyred and several others wounded in an attack of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), alias Fitna al-Khawarij, on their check post in Hangu, whereas in a separate exchange of fire security personnel killed five terrorists in Upper Dir.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi hailed the successful operation against Fitna-al-Hindustan in Upper Dir, paying tribute to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD)’s professional abilities.

“The KP Police and CTD foiled nefarious designs of Fitna-al-Hindustan. Our security forces are committed to eradicate Fitna-al-Hindustan terrorists from the country,” he said.

He also prayed for early recovery of police personnel injured in the fire exchange with terrorists.

Meanwhile, paying homage to the martyrs, Naqvi condemned attack on the federal reserve police in Hangu. He condoled with the family members of the deceased and directed to provide the best available treatment to the injured.

“The federal reserve police personnel laid their lives to foil the Indian-sponsored terrorist attack,” he said.

District Police Officer Hangu Muhammad Khalid Khan the terrorists attacked an FC check post in Tora Rawdi area with heavy weapons within the limits of Doaba police station, Aaj News reported.

According to the DPO, the terrorists took the bodies of their comrades with them in the darkness of night.

He said a search operation is underway in the area and other facilitators will be arrested soon.

On the other hand, the bodies of the FC soldiers martyred in the operation have been taken to DHK Hospital and the injured have been shifted to CMH Tal.
