Pakistan teenage all rounder Hasan Khan has become an overnight sensation for Quetta Gladiators after his batting heroics clinched a thrilling victory against Multan Sultans at Pakistan Super League (PSL) last night (Wednesday).

The youngster, who earlier took a catch to remove Sultans opener Kumar Sangakkara first ball at short midwicket, provided last minute services for his side after smashing Keiron Pollard for six off the penultimate delivery to seal a win in dramatic fashion.

“The heart beat was fast but I was confident, as there were not much runs needed, so I was confident that I would be able to grab a win for my side and in the end was able to do so,” said Hasan, at the post match conference.

Hasan’s nine runs off three balls were enough to win him accolades and a hug from the legendary Viv Richards himself.

“Spending time with the cricketing legends at the dugout is a confidence booster in itself, their experience is quite beneficial and that is what allowed us to win,” he said.

About his hug with cricket legend Sir Vivian Richards, the youngster stated that one could not ask for more. “The way he [Viv] came on the field and hugged me, my happiness was doubled as I was sharing a moment with the cricketing legend. I think it was the best feeling ever,” he said.
