Pakistan fast bowler Hasan Ali, has dismissed allegations of rifts with national team skipper Sarfraz Ahmed, after he called Sarfraz his ‘elder brother.’

"The incident was overblown by the media and it happened in the heat of the moment. I respect Sarfraz a lot and treat him as my elder brother. I want to make it clear that I have no problem with any of the player in the team," said Hasan, quoted Khaleej Times.

Hasan was involved in an on-the-field spat with Sarfraz during ODI series against New Zealand , which became the talk of the series, further on Hasan twisted his ankle and missed the rest of the series, alongside initial matches of Pakistan Super League (PSL).

The youngster also dismissed reports, of turning ‘arrogant’ after his successful stint at the IC Champions Trophy, which won him acclaim and Player of the tournament award, after taking 13 wickets in the event.

"It is a wrong notion that after contributing to Pakistan's success recently I have become arrogant. I am very humble and down to earth person - it is just the start of my career and I want to carry on this performance."
