Coach Arthur pins hopes on Afridi to help Karachi rebound
The Karachi Kings suffered their first defeat in the ongoing third edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL), after Islamabad United beat them by eight wickets in hand at Sharjah on Sunday. However, the side remains strong with seven points in kitty and Kings Coach Mickey Arthur is optimistic that Dubai would be a much favorable venue, as he believes it suits the Kings better. Arthur is also pinning his hopes on the return of star all rounder Shahid Afridi, who has been a key in the success of the franchise. "It is different. Your strategies are different. We are going to have to just rethink and hope it turns a little bit and Afridi comes back and he can turn it and we can squeeze through the middle again, which we did so well in Dubai. So, Dubai suits as a team just a little bit more as well," said Arthur, quoted Khaleej Times. Shahid Afridi Afridi injured his knee in the match against Lahore Qalandars before bagging his second man of the match award, and had to undergo an MRI scan. “My apologies to all my fans who came to watch me play today. Getting an MRI done for my knee. Need your prayers. Will get back soon,” tweeted Afridi soon after his MRI.
