AJK PM, Defence Minister discuss LoC situation
MIRPUR: Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan Monday met Federal Minister for Defence Khurram Dastagir and discussed current situation at Line of Control (LOC) following the continued unprovoked and targeted Indian firing.
Talking to the federal defence minister, AJK Prime Minister Raja Mohammad Farooq Haider Khan said Pakistan's defence was invincible while the while nation was also united.
“India is targeting the civilian population on LOC and trying to divert the focus of the world from Indian occupied Kashmir,” he said.
Prime Minister further said this is India’s failed attempt, as the people living on LOC are bravely facing Indian aggression, and they will not let India to succeed in her conspiracies.
Both leaders discussed the recent atrocities of Indian armed forces on the Line of Control and condemned the cowardly attacks on civilian population by occupied forces.
Moreover, initiatives taken by the federal government to empower State government were also discussed in detail besides other domestic issues being faced by the masses and they reiterated to take necessary measures for the safety of the people living near LOC.
Meanwhile addressing a massive public gathering near LOC in Kotli, Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan said the people living along LOC are facing Indian atrocities on daily basis.
If Modi tried to do any aggression on Azad Jammu and Kashmir, he will have to face its consequences in a befitting manner, he said.
He said that members of legislative assembly elected on PML-N’s ticket are my representative and it is my responsibility to solve their issues.
He reiterated that government will give representation to youth in upcoming municipal elections. Haider said that he had personally visited the LOC to allocate funds in next fiscal year while development in backward areas of the state was among the priorities of the State government.
Prime Minister said that no development have been observed in this area after Sikandar Hayat’s tenure. He reiterated, “PML-N government will start a new era of development in this region soon.”
