NA pays tributes to President for addressing Parliament
ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly Thursday passed motion of thanks expressing its deep gratitude to President for addressing both Houses of the Parliament last year.
Winding up the discussion on President Mamnoon Hussain’s Address in the joint sitting of Parliament, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmed said that the government of Pakistan Muslim League –Nawaz (PML-N) had put the country on road to progress and prosperity.
He said that the government had successfully exterminated the menace of terrorism from the country, generated 10,000 mw power, restored law and order in Karachi, started China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, and initiated mega electricity projects since it came to power in 2013.
The Minister said economy of the country had improved, exports enhanced and sick industry revived due to prudent economic policies of the government. He said that now Pakistan had become an attractive destination for foreign investments.
He said the PML (N) government gave gifts of metro buses and motorways. He expressed the hope that people of Pakistan would reelect PML-N in next general elections this year.
