Prime Minister Viktor Orban's Fidesz seeks a third consecutive term in parliamentary elections, campaigning with a fierce anti-immigrant message.

The poll published by website 24.hu, Republikon also showed that nationalist opposition party Jobbik gained one percentage point to 12 percent.

Another poll by Zavech Research also showed a slight drop in Fidesz support in February, while two other polls by pro-government think tanks Nezopont and Szazadveg showed unchanged voter support for Fidesz in February.

Orban's Fidesz suffered an unexpected setback at a local government by-election on Sunday when an opposition-backed independent comfortably beat the Fidesz candidate for mayor.
