Consultation to be held on security matters to counter emerging challenges: Khurram

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Defence Engr Khurram Dastgir Khan Friday said the consultation would be held on security related matters to counter emerging challenges for Pakistan.

Pakistan’s foreign policy and defence was most important factors that linked with the people, he said while talking to a private news channel.

The minister said Pakistan holds full capability and potential to protect its soil.

He said Pakistan valiant Armed forces had rendered a lot of sacrifices in war against terrorism and achieved many successes in wiping out terrorism from the country. “We had eradicated menace of terrorism across the country,” he added.

He said it was responsibility of all political parties to talk on national security issues with maturity.

He however said that leaders of all political parties had expressed unanimity of views on national security matters.

Khurram Dastgir said National Security Committee and foreign office had issued many statements regarding security matters.
