KARACHI: The first Pakistani company got permission from Chinese authorities to export meat to People’s Republic of China. The Organic Meat Company Limited has received approval and has been granted registration by Chinese Customs Authorities for export of heat treated beef meat to China.

The Company has pioneered the heat treatment process whereby Food and Mouth Disease (FMD) virus can be removed from beef meat. “This process will enable us to access more markets for value added meat products”, the company said in material information sent to Pakistan Stock Exchange on Friday.
