SHC upholds death sentence of murder accused

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday rejected an appeal filed by a convicted accused against the death sentence in the murder case.

The high court rejected the appeal of the accused Shahid Ali and upheld the death sentence awarded to him by a local court. The accused was convicted on solid evidence, the court said.

Accused Shahid Ali is accused of killing a citizen named Wasim. The Sessions Court had sentenced the accused in 2018. A case of murder was registered against the accused at Saeedabad police station in 2014.
