Pakistan remains No.1, despite Australia victory

Pakistan remained the top ranked T20 side, in the latest International Cricket Council's (ICC) MRF Tyres Rankings, despite Australia claiming victory in a tri-series campaign with win over New Zealand in Auckland on Wednesday.

“Although both Australia and Pakistan are on 126 points, when the points are rounded off Australia finish on 125.65 points, 0.19 points behind Pakistan who aggregate 125.84 points,” said ICC, in a statement.

Meanwhile, the second ranked New Zealand have skipped to fourth slot after losing the Tri-nation tournament, the Kiws lost seven points and now sits with 116 points. Whereas, England have lost five points to slip from fourth to the sixth position and now have 114 points.

Team India remain stationed at third spot with 122 points, but favorable series result against the Proteas, can allow the Team in Blue move towards the top.
