LAHORE: The 113th Board meeting of the Punjab Small Industries Corporation on Friday approved the financial support for cottage industry in the Punjab province.
Under the Cluster Development Project, the Board also accorded its approval for inclusion of new districts and developing new clusters in the province. The meeting chaired by Punjab Minister for Industries Mian Aslam Iqbal also reviewed a concessional package in the wake of Covid-19 for the allottees of industrial plot in different industrial estates to accelerate colonization.
The Board meeting also constituted a sub-committee headed by PSIC Director Riaz Hameed Chaudhry to submit its recommendations regarding the concessional package in the next Board meeting.
The meeting also reviewed different matters including Chief Minister Self Employment Scheme and Punjab Rozgar Scheme and revival of cottage industry. The Board referred all the departmental appeals to the additional secretary industries and commerce whereas matters regarding recruitment against the vacant posts and restoration of commuted portion of pension were deferred.
