Nawaz should stop whining about his disqualification: Bilawal Bhutto
Taking a jibe at deposed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto said on Wednesday that the Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) leader should stop whining about his disqualification and do his job.
Speaking to the media, Bilawal said that it was a joke that despite serving thrice as prime minister, Sharif was acting as the opposition. ''People of Pakistan do not care as to how and why was Sharif disqualified. People just want to have all the issues resolved.’’
He added that Sharif does not want to bring judicial reform he just wants to bring judiciary to his PML-N. Bilawal said that judiciary reform can only be brought when everyone sits together and discuss it. ''Fighting cannot bring judiciary reform,'' he added.
When questioned about the former Malir Senior Superintendent of Police Rao Anwar absconding the court proceedings regarding the extra judicial murder of Naqeebullah Mehsud, Bilawal said he had no idea about the whereabouts of Anwar. He added that it was a wonder as to how Anwar had been able to pass Karachi and Islamabad airports and none of them had been able to take action.
He said it was disgusting that despite the current situation in the country encounters were still taking place, bodies were being found. ''Missing people and encounter needs to stop,'' he added.
