Kevin Pietersen eyes change in fortune of Sarfraz’s side
Former England captain and T20 superstar, Kevin Pietersen, eyes to turn around the fortune of his side Quetta Gladiators in the upcoming third edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL). Gladiators have probably been sort of underachievers, as Sarfraz-led side reached the finals on both occasions in the previous two editions but have been unable to clinch the title. However, Pietersen believes that the third edition would change it for Gladiators. “It has been an exciting journey, just landed in Dubai and met up with a couple of Quetta mates,” said KP in a video message on social media. “We have come so close on couple of occasions and you never know [we might get] third time lucky, so let’s make it happen this season and thanks for the continued support of the franchise… cheers to a wonderful season with Quetta Gladiators Pakistan Super League number three,” he added. Earlier, the English batsman announced to end his cricketing career in an emotional message on social media, saying that the upcoming PSL would be his final stint on the cricket pitch. Meanwhile, the third edition of the much-awaited T20 tournament will commence from February 22, with a kickoff match between reigning champions Peshawar Zalmi and debutants Multan Sultans.
