Water commission's orders: Commissioner directs DCs to ensure implementation

HYDERABAD: The Divisional Commissioner Hyderabad Mohammed Abbas Baloch directed the Deputy Commissioners of the division and other concerned officers to ensure implementation on the orders of water commission regarding water supply and drainage schemes of Public Health Engineering and other departments and send weekly progress report about it to him.

He said that Covid-19 once again becoming a challenge for administration and asked all the Deputy Commissioners of the division to take the matter seriously and play their vital role again. He was presiding over a meeting to review the progress on the orders of water commission and new wave of Covid-19 at his office on Friday.

The DC Hyderabad Fuad Ghaffar Soomro, concerned officers and DCs of others districts of the division attended the meeting through video link. The Divisional Commissioner Hyderabad directed the deputy commissioners and other concerned officers to implement on the orders of water commission and cooperate with public health engineering and officers of other departments in acquisition of land and other technical support.

Baloch directed the deputy commissioners to expedite the dog-killing campaign and to ensure availability of anti-rabies vaccines in all the hospitals of their respective districts. He directed them to ensure implementation on the SOPs of government regarding Covid-19, get the public places, shopping malls, mosques and offices disinfected through spray twice in the week. He also underlined the need of educating people about importance of wearing mask as according to him we could not get rid of this pandemic without people's support.

He also directed the concerned officers to monitor schools regarding implementation on SOPs while minor children should be given zero dose or dose of routine immunisation so that their resistance power could be increased.
