LAHORE: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar have strongly condemned the nefarious drive of defaming the institutions and expressed the commitment that every conspiracy will be countered and no compromise will be made on the respect of state institutions. Both met here on Friday and discussed political situation and South Punjab Secretariat. MNA Zain Qureshi was also present.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi asserted that the government will continue to stand with the institutions and those engaged in a tirade against the institutions are not loyal to the nation. Terming the establishment of South Punjab Secretariat as an important step of the PTI government, he said the PTI has been given a "clean mandate" in South Punjab and it will come up to the expectations of the people of the area. The PTI government is fulfilling the promises made with the people of South Punjab and this Secretariat is providing prompt relief to the locals, he added.

The CM emphasized that the institutions are respectable for all of us; those trying to create chaos in the country are, in fact, following the enemy's agenda and the opposition cannot befool the people. Moreover, the CM held a meeting with Special Assistant to PM on Youth Affairs Usman Dar and discussed matters relating to Kamyab Jawan Programme and Tigers Force.

The CM said that youth have been empowered by the PTI government to brighten the country's future; the past rulers ignored the youth and no large investment was made for their empowerment.

"Kamyab Jawan Programme will alleviate poverty and more job opportunities will be created as well," he said, adding: "The PM Imran Khan is the strong voice of 220 million proud people of Pakistan and the opposition will have to be answerable for every loot and plunder."

Usman Dar said the Kamyab Jawan Programme is going on well while the Tigers Force is leading the mission of public service. The unnatural collusion of opposition parties will soon meet its logical end, he maintained.

Meanwhile, the CM visited different areas of the Lahore City and inspected the metro bus route from Qaddafi Stadium to Qurtaba Chowk. Expressing displeasure over the closure of lights at some metro stations, the CM directed to keep the lights functional at metro bus route. He also showed displeasure over poor cleanliness situation in some areas and directed to further improve general cleanliness.
