ISLAMABAD: Record upsurge in LPG prices has been recorded ahead of winter as LPG prices increased due to hike in Saudi Aramco Contract Price for November 2020. As per record, CP for October 2020 was $379/MT which increased to $437/MT with the increment of $58.5 per Metric Ton in November.

Ogra issued official LPG prices after announcement of CP for November 2020, with increment of Rs.10/kg, Rs.114/Domestic Cylinder, Rs.439/Commercial Cylinder and Rs.9,666/MT setting prices from Rs.120/kg to Rs.130/kg, Rs.1416/Domestic Cylinder to Rs.1530/Domestic Cylinder, Rs.5449/Commercial Cylinder to Rs.5888/Commercial Cylinder and from Rs.120,024/MT to Rs.129,690/MT.

Government of Pakistan has already faced the loss of Rs.2 billion to the national exchequer during last 6 months due to intermission of Jamshoro Joint Venture (JJVL) due to which poor people had to buy LPG at expensive rates. We demand to recommence the activities of JJVL and reduce taxes on LPG including Levy on LPG to avoid any further loss to the national exchequer.
