LAHORE: President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan has denounced the Indian attempts to change the demographic composition of the Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Talking to media at the Lahore Press Club on Wednesday, he said the Indian government must abandon its policy to make Kashmir its colony, and resolve this dispute in accordance with the aspirations of Kashmiri people in the light of UN Security Council resolutions.

Sardar Masood said Pakistan has been raising voice of the Kashmiris for the last 73 years and this voice is now echoing in the entire world.

He ruled out any talks with India in the present situation or any change in the status of Kashmir which could harm the ongoing Kashmir liberation movement.

He said if India wanted to hold talks, it must withdraw all actions taken regarding Kashmir after August 5, 2019, cease military operation in the held territory, immediately stop settling non-Kashmiri people in the state, and release all political prisoners.

Rejecting bilateral talks with India, he said that Kashmir is not a bilateral dispute between Pakistan and India, it has been debated thrice in the UN Security Council during the last one year, and we will never want the Kashmir issue to be dragged from the world body and confine it to Delhi.

Since 1972, he said India had very cleverly used the ploy of bilateral talks to keep the Kashmiris and the United Nations away from the process and added that no talks between India and Pakistan could yield positive results without the participation of Kashmiris.
