NEW YORK: A sell-off on Wall Street deepened Monday afternoon amid fading hopes for US stimulus, mounting worries over the coronavirus and jitters over the November 3 US elections.Near 1720 GMT, the Dow Jones Industrial Average had lost 3.1 percent at 27,460.66.
The broad-based S&P 500 fell 2.6 percent to 3,376.60, while the tech-rich Nasdaq Composite Index shed 2.4 percent to 11,262.07.
