ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People's Party (PPP) leader Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari said that his party would not back down for the fear of the threats from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.

"No matter how many threats the government makes, the PPP is not going to back down for fear of these threats. The "selected" government will have to go home as a result of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM)'s movement," he said. He said that putting opposition leaders in jail in any case by the prime minister was tantamount to attacking individuals.

The PPP leader said that the prime minister should not make the institutions controversial by giving statements about them. He said in a statement on Saturday that old women and unemployed people were protesting in front of the Prime Minister's House but the "lustful" rulers were acting "blind and deaf".

He said that the "incompetent" government had isolated the country internationally due to its foreign policy. PPP leader said that Quetta rally would also be the most successful rally.
