Pakistan reports 736 new coronavirus cases

  • The novel virus also claimed the lives of 13 more people.

Pakistan reported 736 new cases in the last 24 hours, taking the nationwide tally to 326,216.

Currently, Pakistan has 9,855 active COVID-19 cases. 27,050 tests were conducted across the country over the last 24 hours. So far, Sindh has 142,917 cases, Punjab 102,253, Balochistan 15,767 and KP has 38,886 infections.

Similarly, Islamabad has 18,578 confirmed cases, Gilgil-Baltistan has reported 4,127, while Azad Jammu and Kashmir has recorded 3,688 cases.

In the last 24 hours, coronavirus claimed the lives of 13 more people, taking the death toll to 6,715. Meanwhile, 510 people also recovered from the novel virus. 309,646 people have recovered in Pakistan.

Since September, Pakistan has seen a surge in coronavirus cases. Prime Minister Imran Khan has repeatedly warned that the country may be hit with another wave of coronavirus. He has urged everyone to follow coronavirus guidelines.
