FindMyAdventure, an online travel platform, raised $600,000 in a pre-Series A round from a local Pakistani and expatriate consortium. The startup has created a name for itself in Pakistan’s travel and tourism sector, and has also worked with some of the biggest multinationals in its short lifespan.

FindMyAdventure, headquartered in Karachi, was founded in 2016 by four young entrepreneurs, who are passionate about transforming the travel experience in Pakistan. The startup has now expanded to a team of more than 40 individuals and is amongst the first to enter into the digital tourism and experiences market in Pakistan.

This online platform enables users to book travel experiences from different travel operators in Pakistan. The startup has recently expanded into the rentals, luxury tourism and digital experience businesses well. It currently has more than 300 online and offline travel operators on its platforms and serves about 30,000 customers in Pakistan.

The startup has also recently launched an online service called Panache Stays, allowing customers to book luxury homes in Pakistan’s northern areas. FindMyAdventure also hopes to generate more than 100,000 jobs in Pakistan by 2022.

With the onset of COVID-19, FindMyAdventure, like many other travel businesses around the world, has struggled to adjust to the new normal. With the nation-wide lockdown in place and people postponing travel plans during the pandemic, the startup was able to develop new contingency plans by expanding into digital tourism and experiences in Pakistan.

FindMyAdventure has also been one of the only travel aggregators in Pakistan to focus on travelers’ safety. The startup provided safety kits and ensured that its partners followed all relevant SOPs after domestic travel was reopened. According to a statement issued by FindMyAdventure, sales have increased since operations were resumed.

Muhammad Ovais Yousuf, the Chairman of Board of Directors at FindMyAdventure, says that “I am very excited to see the progress that FMA has achieved in digitization, team building, product development and truly believe that its just the beginning, not only for us at FMA, but the start-up scene in the country as a whole.”
