LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan has announced countrywide protest movement against the PTI government from November 01.

JI chief Senator Sirajul Haq said the movement against skyrocketing inflation; unemployment and rulers incapability will start from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He, according to statement issued from Mansoora on Sunday, also called the meeting of central leadership on October 23 to discuss modalities of the movement.

"The rulers destroyed the every sector. The country could no more be left on their mercy," he said.

JI chief also expressed concern over the PDM movement, saying the opposition parties who were part of the Pakistan Democratic Alliance lacked moral authority to run protest against the present rulers. People of Pakistan, he said, knew the PTI, the PML-N and the PPP were the sides of the same coin. "There is no difference between the present and past rulers," he said, adding the so-called mainstream opposition parties supported every move of the government in past two years.

The people witnessed the treasuries and opposition parties, he said, were on the same table when it came to the matter of the COAS extension, election of Senate Chairman and FATF related legislation. He said the ruling elites were the agent of the Western powers who only looted the country's resources and tried to demolish its ideological face at the behest secular forces during their respective turns in the power. Therefore, he said, time had approached to get rid of the ruling elite. He appealed the masses to come out to the JI movement to transform the country into Islamic welfare state.
