London police were asked to look into the matter involving former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif with more than six people, allegedly violating COVID-19 laws of the British Capital.

On Monday, a video of Nawaz Sharif shared on social site Twitter, where he can be spotted entering a park in London with entourage that included former state minister Abid Sher Ali.

Following the video, a uses notified that Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Leader is violating UK law by roaming with an entourage of “more than six people”.

The Metropolitan police said in its reply that local police have been informed about the violation.

A screenshot shared by the user shows that they promptly messaged the contact centre and informed them that the man, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, in the video had a “big gathering outside his apartment with no social distancing or masks”.

It may be noted that Pakistan and the United Kingdom are currently in contact for the extradition of the former prime minister and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif.
