NAB initiates process of declaring absconder to Nawaz

LAHORE: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) under the direction of an accountability court has initiated the process of declaring absconder to former Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif for not appearing before court in plot allotment case constantly.

The court has issued notices against the accused Nawaz SHARIF declaring him pro-claimed offender in the reference and the NAB has got pasted the notices in the court premises and at the residence of Mian Nawaz Sharif in Lahore.

The accountability court had extended the judicial remand of Jang/Geo media group's Editor in Chief Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman for further 14 days and adjourned hearing till October 15. The NAB in its reference alleged that Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman illegally obtained exemption of 54 plots each measuring one-kanal situated in Johar Town. It alleged that the allotment of the land had been in connivance with then chief minister Nawaz Sharif against the exemption policy and the laws.
