(Karachi) Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders said that the registration of FIR against party founder Nawaz Sharif shows government's malafide intention. They stated that Pakistan Democratic Movement will get rid of the present government at all costs.

Addressing a press briefing in Islamabad on Monday, former premier Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said: "The government has brought treason in politics." He maintained that the FIR lodged against PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif is shady as it was registered at midnight and does not mentions the occupation of the person who filed the case.

He added that if raising voice against government's negligence and peoples' rights comes under treason then they will continue to commit this crime everyday.

He said that the government is using all tactics to suppress the voice of PML-N and the nation. He stated that the PML-N will not bow down to any pressure tactics by the government.

Speaking on the occasion, PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal said that the treason case against Nawaz Sharif is based on false allegations and aims to fool the people of the country.

He said inflation and joblessness have increased to an alarming level in the country. He pointed out that people are bearing burden of government's faulty policies and wants to get rid of it.

He said if the rulers could not put the economy on track in two years then they could not do so even in 50 years.

Iqbal highlighted PTI joined the government by making tall claims but failed to deliver so the PM should resign and go home.
