Foreign investors withdraw over USD160mn from stock and bonds

In the first three months of the current Financial Year 2020-21, it has been revealed that foreign investors have withdrawn a total of more than USD160 million from the stock market and bonds.

As per the data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) during the first three months of the current financial year 21-2020, there was a general trend of selling bonds and shares by foreign investors.

According to the data, the outflow of USD 161 million was recorded during July-September and in these three months, foreign investors bought shares worth USD133 million and sold shares worth USD252 million.

Furthermore, during those three months period, foreign investors bought USD124 million worth of bonds and sold USD167 million worth of bonds.
