LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif said on Saturday that the opposition will not give more time to the incumbent government and the decisions of the APC will be implemented.

"Imran Khan wants to arrest him in any case so as to accomplish his agenda," Shehbaz said while talking to anchorpersons and senior journalists at Model Town yesterday.

Referring to Nawaz Sharif's speech in All Parties Conference (APC), Shehbaz said "the speech of my leader was in accordance with the constitution and law. My leader did not say anything in his speech that was against the constitution," he said, adding, "He (Nawaz) had never spoken of confrontation with the institutions."

Shehbaz said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman is a senior politician so the opposition gave him the leadership of the new alliance. Now is the time to expose the government, there is transparency in our all projects, not a single rupee corruption had taken place.

Shehbaz Sharif said "if I am arrested, I will face it. No personal benefit has been derived from the reconciliation till date," adding that serving the people will enhance the prestige of political parties. He said the system will be strong when political parties serve people. "Bring thousands of Article 6, the system will not be strong until public service," he added.

He said that there is no comparison between his cases and the death sentence of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. We must learn from our history, he added.

He also questioned the absence of Imran Khan in the meeting of parliamentary parties at Rawalpindi.

Meanwhile, Nawaz Sharif on Saturday telephoned Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) to discuss the formation of a committee for resignations from the assemblies.

During the phone call, the two leaders discussed the political situation in the country and the opposition's movement against the government.
