Passengers now required to install Pass Track App under CAA's new SOPs

Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) has issued new SOPs for international passengers, while will remain in effect to 31-12-2020.

Under the new SOPs the requirement for vacant seats has been abolished. Passengers shall be required to install Pass Track App downloadable from the google play store and the apple store.

Meanwhile, passengers who do not possess a smart phone shall be required to enter their data on the passtrack.nitb.gov.pk/login website.

Under the new SOPs, children under age 12, disabled passengers, and high-level International delegations referred by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be exempted from the App/ web data requirement.

Furthermore, countries have been now been classified into A and B categories. Under which international passengers from Category A countries will not require a coronavirus test before traveling. However, international travelers from category B countries will need a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test not older than 96 hours before boarding a flight to Pakistan.

CAA added that the categorization of countries shall be subjected to fortnightly review by the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulation, and Coordination based on objective health assessment.
