KARACHI: Sindh Excise and Taxation (E&T) department on Monday claimed to have recovered substantial quantities of opium during a raid near Bilawal roundabout. According to details, the action was taken on a tip-off, which revealed that some drug peddlers were running their illicit activities near Bilawal roundabout.

Reacting on this information, the team of E&T raided the aforesaid place and recovered over five kilograms of opium from the possession of accused drug peddler Obaid-ur-Rehman. Consequent upon recovery, a case has been registered against the accused and further investigation is in progress.
