No-confidence motions: Proposals prepared

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People's Party (PPP) has prepared proposals in connection with a no-confidence motions against Prime Minister Imran Khan, Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser and Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar, which will be present at today's All-Party Conference (APC), it is learnt.

According to the sources, these proposals were discussed in a consultative meeting held with PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in the chair at Zardari House on Saturday night. PPP leaders Yousuf Raza Gilani, Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, Farhatullah Babar, Jamil Soomro, Raja Pervez Ashraf, Sherry Rehman, Qamar Zaman Kaira and others were present in the meeting.

Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari considered the APC agenda and sought suggestions from leaders.

The sources said the PPP Chairman has completed consultations on the no-confidence motions with other opposition parties' leaders.

They said that the PPP has proposed that in the first phase of the movement, there will be no-confidence motions and anti-government rallies in the country.

Today's APC hosted by the PPP is likely to come up with a new agreement on the pattern of the 'Charter of Democracy'. They said that consultations are underway on renaming the Charter of Democracy and making some amendments in it.

According to sources, the APC will also look into possibility of forming a formal ARD-esque alliance and there will be a written agreement for the implementation of APC decisions.
