ISLAMABAD: The National Highways Authority (NHA) has blacklisted and debarred M/s Najeebullah and Co from participating in the bidding process over purportedly "fake" experience documents.

According to official documents available with Business Recorder, M/s Najeebullah and Co had participated in the bidding of five packages of periodic maintenance (structural overlay) projects for Northern Areas Region (North Zone) as per approved Annual Maintenance Plan (AMP)-2018-19 (N-35) and was declared the lowest in three packages i.e. NA-01, NA-02 and NA-03.

Consequent upon the approval of Member (Planning), the documents of relevant experience submitted by the contractor were sent to the concerned departments i.e. Executive Engineer AJK Council and Executive Engineer C&W Department Hangu Division for verification.

However, the same were found to be "fake" as per the response received from the concerned departments. M/s Najeebullah and Co along with its directors has been debarred from ongoing and future bidding in the NHA for two years, i.e., from 21-08-2020 to 20-08-2022.
