The Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi has been closed after two students contracted the novel coronavirus.

Two days after it was reopened, two students tested COVID-19 positive. According to sources, the first case emerged in the hostel of the IBA's Karachi University campus. Both the students have been quarantined.

While classes have been suspended, non-teaching faculty members will continue their duties as per routine. When contacted, the institute said that a meeting is underway to determine the future course of action regarding the suspension of classes.

Meanwhile, a number of students have complained that SOPs are not being followed in the university. They said that many students were seen without masks, while there was no concept of social distancing being followed at all.
