Marriage halls in Sindh, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are set to reopen today after being shut for six months to curb coronavirus.

All three provinces have issued SOPs. Wedding hall owners have been directed to keep a minimum two-hour interval between different events. After every event, the halls must be sanitized.

Wearing face masks is mandatory while visitors will be checked for fevers. Hall-administrations have been asked to operate 50 percent less than actual space for the guests.

Halls have been directed to be closed before midnight. Those halls that fail to comply with the SOPs will be fined and even sealed.

Currently, Pakistan has 302,424 coronavirus cases. The novel coronavirus has claimed 6,389 lives in Pakistan.
