Duty-free cars for disabled: ECC may approve amendment

ISLAMABAD: A meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet is likely to approve amendment for the import of customs duty free cars for disabled persons tomorrow (Wednesday).

The meeting to be chaired by Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh has been convened with three points agenda items; (i) Commerce Division proposal for amendment In the import of customs duty free cars for disabled persons; (ii) federal education and professional training proposal for approval of technical supplementary grant of Rs96.155 million of the subject "Deeni Madaris" in favour of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training; (iii) and information technology and telecommunication proposal for publication of rolling spectrum strategy 2020-2023.

An official said that some more proposals might be added in the agenda or tabled during the ECC meeting.
