PPP, PML-N stage protest demo against incident of rape

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan People's Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim league-Nawaz (PML-N) activists on Saturday staged a protest outside the National Press Club against the incident of rape of a woman on the Lahore motorway.

Some Parliamentarians of both the parties participated in the protest against the incident. The activists carried placards inscribed with slogans against the CCPO Lahore and the PTI government.

The PPP Secretary General, Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, Senator Rubina Khalid, and others participated in the protest.

Bukhari said that the motorway incident was a very sad incident. He said that the incident was an open challenge for those who claimed the state of Madinah. He said that was the person claiming the state of Madinah sleeping?

Nayyar Hussain Bukhari said that the government should probe the incident transparently and the culprits should be punished according to the law. He said that the PTI government had failed to protect the people.
