Death toll from KP's Mohmand marble mine incident rises to 17

The death toll from a rockslide at a marble mine in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Mohmand has reached 17 on Tuesday.

On Monday, a heavy boulder fell on locals working at a marble mine located at Ziarat Ghar mountain in Safi tehsil of Mohmand. According to local media reports, six more bodies were pulled from the rubble by rescue officials today.

The authorities fear more people to be trapped under the rubble. The rescue operation was started today after it was stopped due to darkness last night. Heavy machinery and ambulances are taking part in the operation.
