LAHROE Parks & Horticulture Authority (PHA) Lahore has provided cycling track facility for the cyclists in Jillani Park. Adviser to CM and Chairman PHAs Punjab Asif Mehmood was the chief guest in inaugural ceremony held here on Sunday Chairman PHA Lahore Yasir Gillani, DG PHA Jawad Ahmed Qureshi and a large number of citizens were also present during the event.

People from different walks of life including women cyclists participated in maiden cycling race led by Adviser to CM. "After the stagnant environment in the wake of Covid-19 such healthy activities were the need of the hour", said the adviser. He said that during the lockdown young cyclists were seen on the roads of Lahore which created idea of cycling track meant for cycling lovers.

"Government wants to develop healthy activities in large parks of Punjab" he said. Asif Mehmood announced that in the next phase same cycling track will be developed in Jinnah Garden and gradually extended to other large parks of the Punjab. "Cycling track in Jillani Park is one kilometre long and cyclists will be free to use this track for their daily exercise" he said. "More health related facilities will be provided in parks to promote health society", vowed the adviser to CM.

Meanwhile, Tourism Department Punjab has released special short documentary on the eve of Defence Day. This documentary is tribute to martyrs of 1965 war. Adviser to CM Asif Mehmood appreciated the efforts of the Tourism Development Corporation Punjab (TDCP) and said that whole Pakistani nation was presenting tribute to brave son of soils who laid their lives while defending the motherland.

"TDCP and PHAs have prepared many programs on World Tourism Day (Sept 27) which will help in promoting tourism culture in Punjab", said the adviser. MD TDCP Tanvir Jabbar told that duration of short documentary is one minute and seven second and it also depicts tourist sites of Punjab. "On the eve of World Tourism Day many tourist friendly activities would be held at tourist sports including Jinnah Garden and Shalamar Garden," pledged the MD.
