Most parts of Karachi suffers power outages as KE urges public to cooperate

Power could not be restored in most parts of Karachi even after 24 hours due to torrential rains.

As per details, power outages have been reported in Malir, Jafar Tayyar society, Saudabad, Khokhrapar, Malir 15, and Malir Halt. Shah Faisal Colony, Green Town, Shamsi Society and many other areas.

24 hours have passed since the power outage in Quaidabad, Gulshan-e-Bunir, Gulshan-e-Hadid, and Gulshan-e-Maymar, power is off in Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block 19, Gulshan-e-Iqbal 13D, 13C as well.

Whereas, power outage continues in different areas including Baldia Town, Saeedabad. Areas of Nazimabad, North Nazimabad, and Orangi Town, Gulbark, Liaqatabad, Federal B Area are affected.

KE urges public to cooperate

On the other hand K Electric said, “as the city is continuing to face unprecedented situation after the record-breaking rainfall, our management and teams are however doing their best to deal with current circumstances & restore electricity with limited available resources.”

“Many KE vehicles got stuck in flooded roads and streets across the city. Also, our staff is working in long shifts because relievers were unable to make into service centers due to waterlogging. We request utmost understanding and cooperation from our valued customers in this difficult situation as the restoration work may take more than expected time,” the power utility provider added.
