Watch: Asif Ali loses his cool in CPL
Pakistan hard-hitting batsman Asif Ali loses his cool during the match between Jamaica Tallawahs and Guyana Amazon Warriors on Tuesday, when he swung his bat in anger after being dismissed on three by West Indies pacer Keemo Paul in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
The Faisalabad native, who is representing the Tallawahs in his maiden CPL season, could face disciplinary action for his reaction. He was caught at long-on by Warrior’s captain Chris Green.
Match referee Reon King can be seen in action immediately after the incident. However, the authorities are yet to announce any punishment for the 28-year-old.
Despite Asif’s early departure, Tallawahs went on to win the match by five wickets, chasing 109 with two overs to spare.
It is worth to mention here that the Islamabad United player has failed to perform in the tournament after an impressive start with an unbeaten 47-run knock. Following that he only scored 41 runs in next four innings.
