Romania's central bank unanimously voted to cut rate on Aug. 5: minutes

BUCHAREST: Romania's central bank board members unanimously voted to cut the benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points to 1.50pc at its August 5 meeting, bank minutes showed on Friday.

"In view of the monetary policy measures adopted in March and May, as well as of the transmission lags of impulses of policy rate cuts, Board members were of the unanimous opinion that the outlook for macroeconomic and financial developments, along with the related uncertainties and risks, warranted another prudent cut in the policy rate," it said in a statement.
