Google celebrated Pakistan’s independence day by sharing a doodle as country turns 73 year old today (Friday).

The doodle represents an illustration of the iconic landmark, the Khojak Tunnel located in Balochistan’s Qilla Abdullah district.

It is one of country’s oldest and longest underpass, whose construction began in 1888 to extend the area’s railway through the Khojak pass of the Toba Kakar mountain range.

This isn’t the first time Google has celebrated Pakistan’s birthday with a drawing. In the past, the search engine has also paid homage to Pakistani icons such as Noor Jehan, Abdul Sattar Edhi, Waheed Murad, Saadat Manto and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan to name a few.

Google doodles have now become a part of the Internet culture which users find quite amusing as they also learn about interesting events along with daily searches.
