COAS visits Corps Headquarters Lahore, discusses regional situation

(Karachi) Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Corps Headquarters Lahore and met with senior serving and retired military officers.

According to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the COAS had an interactive session on wide-ranging issues including professional matters, the security situation in the region, measures to optimize dividends of peace and stability and also the challenges and opportunities.

On arrival, Bajwa was received by Lieutenant General Majid Ehsan, Commander Lahore Corps.

Earlier, the army chief spent time with troops on Eid day, commended their high morale, operational readiness and continuous vigil being maintained along the LOC.

While interacting with troops, he said: "Eid-ul-Azha epitomizes the essence of unconditional sacrifice. “No one understands this spirit of sacrifice better than a soldier."

He maintained, "Let us also reiterate our pledge to always stand by our Kashmiri brethren braving Indian atrocities for their right of self-determination despite all odds."
