No let up in crimes in Capital

ISLAMABAD: Despite tall claims of police high-ups, there is no let up in crime in the city as thieves, carjackers, kidnappers and murderers struck at over 14 places in the federal capital. According to the data gathered by Business Recorder, during the last week, four cases of car lifting, four cases of kidnapping, three cases of robbery, and two cases of murder were reported to the city's various police stations.

Majority of criminal activity was reported within the limits of Tarnol, Khanna, and Golra police stations. During the same period, Tarnol Police Station registered one case of murder and a case of car theft. Misbah Ali Khan informed Tarnol Police Station that Arshad, one of his employees allegedly killed his brother Imtiaz Kiani. Auto thieves stole a bike bearing registration number AJP-707 belonging to Sher Muhammad worth Rs70,000. Similarly, one kidnapping and a case of car lifting was reported to Khanna Police Station.
