ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (OP&HRD) Sunday said more than 980 bodies of Pakistanis, who have died in foreign countries due to various ailments, had been brought to the country so far under a special flight operation.

The special flight operation was launched by the government in March-end to repatriate its citizens, stuck at the foreign shores due to the worldwide travel restrictions imposed in wake of coronavirus pandemic. As of July 8, human remains of at least 986 dead expats have been brought to the country shore, with around 80 are still under the repatriation process, a document shared by the OP&HRD ministry on Sunday revealed.
